Large Print Edition: All the Bible's information about Jesus in a chronological story that reads like a novel. Better than a harmony of the Gospels where we lack information from non-Gospel biblical text and have to mentally merge details from different gospel accounts.
Eyewitness: The Life of Christ told in one story is a long overdue book. Frank Ball takes all the information from the Gospels (and even Old Testament like Isaiah and Genesis) and puts them into one chronological story of Jesus’ life. It is so easy to read and understand and it makes so much sense! I love it as it is making the life of Christ come alive for me. What a great tool for yourself and a phenomenal gift for others. One of the best things about it is that it isn’t overwhelming. It is broken down into the individual stories of Jesus’ life so you can read a one page account or you can read pages and pages as you get pulled into the living, breathing story of Jesus. — Janna R. I finally read Eyewitness. I skimmed it back in 2008, but recently I began to read a few pages each morning. Frank Ball has done a remarkable job of combining the four Gospel narratives into a single story. Unlike The Message, Ball avoids hackneyed phrases and clichéd statements and that made for smooth reading. I’m a seminary graduate and majored in New Testament Greek. I write that because Ball’s loose translation impressed me. As I read, many times I thought, He understands the meaning. He truly gets it. Now I ask myself, “Why didn’t read the whole book 7 years ago? — Cecil Murphey
