If Jesus is right, and life isn’t found in the abundance of how much I have, then something else holds the key to my satisfaction in life. The Pharisees and leading priests were the most highly regarded religious people of the first century, yet Jesus didn’t have many good things to say about what they did. If I boil down all his stories to their root essence that slapped the religious culture in the face, it was the fact that being greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven meant being servant of all.
That mean my greatest satisfaction in his kingdom has to be giving, not receiving!
